How the Oxygen Sauna works with your body to detox and gain better health.
The use of a sauna should be an important part of any wellness and detoxification program. The sauna increases the elimination, detoxifying and cleansing capacity of the skin by stimulation of the sweat glands, and also promotes healthy skin tone and texture due to increased blood circulation. Using the steam sauna with ozone allows the steam to surround the body and ozone can be introduced through the skin. Humid heat opens the pores, which allows the ozone to absorb through the skin to the bloodstream, where it can travel to the fat and lymph tissue.
The combined action of moist heat and ozone cleans the lymphatic system, which carries 90% of the body's fluids. Sweat contains more toxins than urine! It is for this reason that the skin is often called the 3rd kidney. Steam Sweat Therapy is a powerful healing tool that is rarely used in North American Society. Steam Therapy should be part of everyone's health plan.

How often should I do a sauna:
For the best results, many clients come in 1-3 times per week. However, your frequency can depend on your personal wellness goals. Typically, for maintenance we recommend 1-2x per week. For deeper healing I suggest the jump start program, this allows you to get 10 sessions as close together as possible in a 2-week time period. This program is vital for individuals who do not naturally sweat on their own.

Your first session will be about an hour as I will need time to go over your health history and your goals for health and explain more in detail the process and benefits of the Oxygen Sauna. You will want to come prepared for your sessions and understand my policy:

-
Each session is 30 minutes in the sauna and appointments are scheduled 50 minutes apart. This allows time to get in and get out comfortably.
-
Please come hydrated, drink at least a liter of water several hours prior to your session.
-
A meal must have been eaten no sooner than 2 hours prior to a session to allow the body time to digest your food and have the vital energy for a workout.
-
No lotions or perfumes or colognes are to be worn the day of a session. This is for your benefit, so you do not reabsorb these ingredients, and your pores are clean and open to help you detox better.
-
Wear loose, comfortable clothes to your session, as the body will continue to sweat for a good 20 minutes afterwards, and you will feel more comfortable.
-
If you purchased a monthly membership or punch card package, they are non-refundable and non-transferable.
-
A 24-hour cancellation notice IS ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED, or it will count as one of the sauna sessions from your package.
-
Missed appointments or 30 min late arrivals are NOT rescheduled they are counted as one of the sauna sessions from your package.
